Gold up 67 percent

I saw it on CNN.com so it must be true!

I took a screenshot and the only edit I did was to crop this.

Gold up today 67%

Gold up today 67%

As you can see gold was up a whopping 67% and I saw it on a trusted site so it must be true!!!

The reason to bring up this obvious error is that you can not believe everything you see even on a trusted site. Always double check or triple-check before you fall for something. The Internet is full of information, yet not all of it is true. People seem to actually care less about lying on the Internet and figure than can get away with anything.

My brother called me yesterday about a company called 1and1 who he has a couple of domain names with. They advertise heavily in tech magazines and many people have used there services. I won’t say anything about them, but do some searches about 1and1 and collections. My brothers credit card had expired and he was never contacted to update his card. Now with companies I have done domain business with would send an email or 5 before the date arrived and then some after. If you did not update the card they would expire the domain name. That was not the case for my brother. See this guys experience with 1and1.

As I have said before, always check out companies before buying anything or signing a contract. Find out how they have handled customer complaints. How did they treat their customers? Any company that has done business will have someone complain, but how many customers complain about the same thing? Was it ever resolved?

Do your research and keep from being burned.
